Win A Free DVD!

Vision Forum has graciously authorized me to give away a fantastic DVD!  The title of the DVD is The League of Grateful Sons.  So how do you acquire this DVD?  It’s easy, all you have to do is leave a comment about your family’s special Christmas traditions.  (Thank you Mrs. Wilt for the idea!)  It’s just that easy.  I will read through all of your comments (glean from them as many new ideas as I can for my family),  I will then put all entries in a hat and have my Son (since this is a DVD about sons) draw out one name.  You will have until Tuesday, December 18, midnight Central Time to enter.  Good Luck!

Our stocking holders are outlines of Christmas Presents and each year my husband and myself think of something that represents the other’s year. We put some kind of trinket in the stocking holder for all to see. It just makes us think back and usually laugh at the events of the last year. It is also a great conversation starter when visitors come.

If I enter twice, do I get 2 chances of winning?!! :) Sorry, I forgot to tell of a favorite family Christmas tradition. Hmmm, I have several because I love this time of year…My favorite is probably the “Christmas Eve Program” my 4 children and nieces and nephews put on every Christmas Eve. They start planning and practicing every year about the end of October, and it gets bigger every year. I think this year they are calling it their “11th Annual Christmas Program”. This was a tradition carried over from my sister and I because we used to put on a “Christmas Program” every Christmas Eve as well. I love all of the family traditions of this time of year!!

Hello, this is the first time I have visited your blog and I really am enjoying it. One of our favorite Christmas traditions is celebrating Advent. We started about 3 or 4 years ago, and I plan out different activities, movies to watch, and books to read each night. The children really look forward to it and so do we. This year we are also making jesse tree ornaments to put on the tree.
    God Bless~Danene

    Danene-
Welcome! Hope you come back and visit! When our children were smaller, I always planned the movies and books we’d read throughout the season, but as they’ve grown older, I haven’t done that. I really need to start doing that again! Even at 13, 11, & 8, they love our time of reading aloud!
