Today has not started like it should have, I guess I need to start with last night. I couldn’t get to sleep. I think I looked at the clock for the last time at 2:15, just as my husband’s alarm was going off. This morning, I awoke to my dog having labored breathing and other issues. I ended up having to rush our beloved dog to the vet as soon as it opened, so my morning routine was interrupted. I will, however, try and catchup later on today!
For a little inspiration, after a rough morning, I turned to the Creator of all and looked to this verse. . . .Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall fain and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
I may feel the effects of the lack of sleep and the anxiety of a sick pet (more like part of the family than a dog), but I know I can rest in the promises of Isaiah 40:28-31. Our Sovereign God will equip me for the full day of studies, home making, and the birthday celebration we are to attend tonight.
My “to do” list for today. . . .
- Studies with my blessings!
- Project of the day (see below)
- Lunch with my family
- Grocery shopping
- Haircuts for the boys
- Some Christmas shopping
- Violin lessons
- Birthday celebration (which includes dinner)
- Last minute cleaning for company coming tomorrow
Today’s project. . . bedrooms! YEAH, this couldn’t have come on a better day! My energy level isn’t that high, but thankfully I learned a long time ago to keep this room special. Someone told me that a husband and wife’s bedroom needs to be keep clean and inviting. This is our sanctuary when we need to escape any stresses. I’ll dust, vacuum, and put away a few things on my dresser and I’ll be done. ;o) As for the rest of the bedrooms, my blessings are old enough to manage their rooms on their own. Look for before and after pictures here!
Don’t forget to enter the drawing for the free DVD!

Terri,
Praying for your pup. They certainly are members of the family and we always want them to be a-okay!
I also have a hubby who gets up early and, man oh man, that alarm has been my enemy some days. ;o) LOL!
Hope that the rest of your day is wonderful!

I hope your dog is ok! I missed seeing you this morning!
