1) Refresh Your Spirit
Today a portion of my reading was in Psalm 139:17-24 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. 19 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men. 20 For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. 21 Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting. David is speaking about thinking of God’s thoughts, and how they are not like man’s thoughts. He is being chased by Saul again, and he is wishing his enemies would be gone, but on the other hand, David will not lay a hand on God’s anointed. How often do we try to take God’s job into our hands? Should we not meditate on God’s thoughts all day also? David also goes on to ask God to search his heart. Some days it is a lot easier to say that than other days, isn’t it? But God already knows our heart. I think the difference in this portion of scripture is David is wanting God to relay the findings of his heart to him so that he can release that to God also.

Tonight we will be having French Dip sandwiches for dinner!
5) Project of the Day
Today we’re starting at the front door and moving on to the kitchen. This is perfect for me as my kitchen is in eye-shot of the front door. The kitchen in our house is a very busy place, so this will be a wonderful challenge! Pictures to come!
