I confess ... I am a Christmas junkie. It's my favorite holiday. But, I agree that Thanksgiving is simply overlooked these days. Our recent homeschool studies (ranging from the Pilgrims to Ben Franklin to George Washington) have renewed within me the true spirit of thanksgiving. This has been a rough year for my family, yet I know deep in my heart we have much to be thankful for. The Lord continues to keep us in His care and I have two wonderful boys and a fantastic dh.

Terri, I completely agree with you!! As I read your entry, I was thinking that through the years, America has completely 'devalued' the family, and Thanksgiving as well. As you said, they go together and both are so important!! What am I thankful for?? SOOO much!!! But, to narrow it down...I am most thankful this year for the Lord and His continual hand on my life. Without Him, I am nothing!
Love ya,
Christy
