Absent Yet Again

I keep telling myself, and you, that I’m going to reform, but sadly here I am apologizing again!  There are so many things going on in my life that I could be blogging about, but I don’t.  It reminds me of my relationship with my Heavenly Father.  I find myself telling Him I will reform again and again, but I find myself stuck in the pit of sin over and over again.  How does that old saying go. . . . Success is just starting one more time than you quit.  . . . So here we go again!

Prayer request:  My husband’s employer for 21 years is downsizing in Southwest Missouri.  His last day there will be April 1.  Pray for wisdom and guidance in making decisions and finding employment.  Also pray our house sells quickly.  Thanks!

Hat tip to Scott Weldon–found this on his blog.  (No I don’t just watch u-tube continually!)

Commercial Break

This commercial makes me smile each time I watch it.  So I had to share it.  (Not crazy about the lyrics, but you can’t have everything!)

Yes, I’m still alive

I had a whole list of excuses as to why I had not made time to update my blog, but as I was re-reading them, a saying that I use quite often came to my mind. . . . “Excuses are for losers.”  I am always saying this to my children to try and direct their thinking a different way.  We need to stop making excuses as to why things aren’t completed, and just do them.  It seems like we take so much time thinking of reasons why we “can’t” that we just give up and “don’t”.  So let’s hope I’ll take the time to re-think my excuses and just find time to update!

Meeting Friends

Kim from Life in a Shoe was in town for a birthday party/reunion, and I was able to finally meet up with her for coffee in Branson!  We had a lovely couple of hours with another girl from the area who is thinking of starting her own blog, right Carey?  Any way, for those of you who don’t know, Kim is the reason I started this blog (I can’t forget to mention this and this!), and she has inspired me to begin anew in trying to update it and keep things exciting!  I was able to meet her wonderful husband and three of her precious children.  With all of the “issues” they had to deal with on this trip (see her blog for details!), hopefully she is not too deterred from coming back.  Note to Kim . . . Have a safe trip home!
